The Smokeless Tobacco Debate

Relative to smoking, dipping snuff  is sufficiently less harmful to you and public health as second hand smoke is just as bad if not worse than actually smoking the cigarette your self. Any smoker who gives up cigarettes for snuff is clearly doing his or her body a favor.

That’s because most of the danger from tobacco actually comes from inhaling the smoke. Skipping that step makes a huge difference. A study by a Britain College found that the consumption of snuff tobacco is 100-1,000 times less hazardous than smoking, depending on what the product is. The American Council on Science and Health puts the overall health risk at about 2 percent of that from sucking on a cigarette.

So to sum it up, dipping snuff is safer then inhaling smoke!
